Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using a third-party service (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Pool & Usage Data

We collect information about your pools and jacuzzis, including water test results, chemical readings, maintenance logs, equipment details, and treatment history. This data is used to provide personalized AI-powered recommendations.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to Poolify Pro, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. We receive and store a transaction identifier, plan type, and billing status.

Automatically Collected Data

We collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and general location (city-level) to improve service performance and security.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Poolify service
• Generate AI-powered water treatment plans and maintenance recommendations
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, treatment reminders)
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
• Analyze usage patterns to improve product features and user experience

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating our platform (hosting, email delivery, payment processing), bound by confidentiality agreements
• When required by law, regulation, or legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Poolify, our users, or the public
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to users

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Water test history and maintenance logs are retained to provide historical analysis and trends. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Firebase, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

Poolify integrates with third-party services including Firebase (authentication), Stripe (payments), Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a prominent notice within the app. Your continued use of Poolify after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
